Introduction


Sunburn is an electronic dance music festival held in Candolim Beach, Goa, India. The festival is an amalgamation of music, entertainment, food and shopping, and was ranked by CNN in 2009 as the ninth best festival  in the world. The festival by Shailendra Singh of Percept, in partnership with Nikhil Chinapa. Held over three days, the festival has multiple stages with artists playing simultaneously daily.Just after the Christmas Celebrations and just before the New Year Celebrations, Goa is the host to the biggest electronic music festival in the country – the SUNBURN FESTIVAL at  the Candolim Beach. The three-day party on Candolim Beach, in Goa, gets down massive international artistes. Every year the line-up goes through a 100 rumours, before the list is confirmed. The festival has different genres of music which range from house to drum 'n' bass. The festival l also feature Indian DJs. The line-up last year included – Paul van Dyk, Richard Durand, BT, Axwell, Ferry Corsten, Nadia Ali and a few more. The dates and venue is not yet decided.

Sunburn Goa 2010
Sunburn Goa 2010, took place on 27–29 December at Candolim Beach. The festival was sponsored by Tuborg in association with XXX. The headliners of the 2010 festival were Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Axwell along with Sultan & Ned Shepard with Nadia Ali(Live), Richard Durand, GMS, Pete Gooding, Aly & Fila and DJs Pearl, Ma Faiza and Sanjay Dutta.
For the 2010 festival, Percept ran a "Sunburn Anthem Contest" for potential audio and visual producers, with participants in the visual category allowed to make a visual for a B.R.E.E.D track which is then submitted to a panel of judges. Participants in the audio category are asked to make a fresh remix of Nadia Ali’s ‘Love Story’ which is the Anthem of the festival.
A fashion show was organized on 27 December at Club Butter. Sunburn passes went live on 5 November 2010 with the early bird passes and pre-booking sale passes being sold out in 22 minutes.

Introduction
Auroville, which means the 'City of Dawn', was founded by Sri Aurobindo's mother on February 28, 1968. The disciple and spiritual collaborator of Sri Aurobindo, she had built up the Ashram into a multi-faceted, spiritual community and had established the Sri Aurobindo International Center for Education earlier.

Auroville is meant to be "a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity," said the Mother in 1965. Three years later at the inauguration ceremony of Auroville on February 28, 1968 young boys and girls representing 121 nations and 23 Indian states placed a handful of earth from their part of the world in a lotus-shaped urn, symbolizing the creation of a city dedicated to peace, international understanding and a hopeful future for humanity. That was the beginning.

By Air

By Train
Villupuram railhead is the nearest railway station to Pondicherry. Villupuram is connected to Trichy, Madurai and Chennai.

Major Attractions

Introduction
Dalhousie is very popular for its scenic beauty and pleasant climate. This fast emerging hilly destination offers a pleasant holiday amidst calm and serene surroundings. A popular sanatorium during the time of British rule, this hill station owes much to its founder Lord Dalhousie for its fame and glory. Nestled in the lap of the Himalayan mountain range, this hill station is placed at an average height of 8000 feet.
Spread over an area of 14 sq km, Dalhousie is built on five hills, which offers a pleasant trekking experience to toddlers as well as serious trekkers.



How To Reach
By Air:
The nearest airport is at Gaggal (Kangra), 140-km from Dalhousie.
By Rail:
The nearest railhead is Pathankot, which is well connected to Amritsar, Jammu, Delhi and Jalandhar.
By Road:
Onward journey from Pathankot to Chamba and Dalhausie is by road. Punjab and Himachal Roadways run services, as do private operators.

Major Attractions

Khajjiar - A stunning valley with a spring in the middle, while being quite beautiful, it gets littered with trash in the peak season of July when a massive number of tourists come.

Dainkund Walk - A gentle, sloping walk near an Air Force base in Dalhousie, leading to a Hindu temple.

Upper Bakrota - The highest area in Dalhousie, it has a number of estates, a residential school, and an Army barracks at the top. The area is circled by a road called Bakrota Walk, on the way to Khajjiar which ends at Alah Water Tank

Chamba - It is a major district town a little distance away from Dalhousie and is the seat of the former princely State of Chamba. It has a number of attractions including a major museum, restaurants, etc.

Ganji Pahadi Walk - It is called Ganji Pahadi (ganji means bald, pahadi means hill) because there are no trees on the summit of the hill and it looks like it's got a bald patch at the top. You can ask a local how to get there. It is a long walk of at least an hour, but quite pleasant.

Introduction
Coonoor is a famous hill station that is 17 km from Ooty in Tamil Nadu, India.Coonoor is the second largest hill station located in the Nilgiri hills. It is also famous for its tea plantations and festivals. Travelers can also enjoy the ride on the toy train, which connect Coonoor with other hill stations in the Nilgiri Hills.

The other famous hill resort of the Nilgiris is that of Ooty/ Udhagamandalam/ Ootacamund

Coonoor does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is in Coimbatore. Coonoor is on the toy-train line between Mettupalayam (28 km) and Ooty. Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Coonoor is between the months of October and March.

Sim's Park The park is situated in a deep ravine on the Northern side of Coonoor Railway Station at an elevation of 1768 to 1798 m. The park can be divided into eight major sections. The natural shola with winding footpaths all over the higher slopes of the park is the most distinctive and picturesque feature of this park.
Lamb's Rock It is 8 km from Coonoor on the way to Dolphin's Nose. It commands a grand view of the Coimbatore Plains. It is a favorite place for tourists.
Laws Falls The Place is a beautiful picnic spot, situated at Coonoor-Mettupalayam Road at the distance of 7 km from Coonoor. The height of the falls is about 180 feet. There are vast stretches of undisturbed sholas and it is a paradise for Naturalists.
The Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint Which is 10 km from Coonoor, is an important place to visit. It not only provides a panoramic view of the vast expanse of the Nilgiri hills but also of the famous Catherine Falls.

The hill resort of Coonoor hosts several interesting festivals. Firstly there is the annual fruit and vegetable festival that is hosted at the Sim's Park. Tourists from across the globe get attracted to the festival organized in May each year.

Then there is the tea and tourism festival hosted in Coonoor. The annual festival attracts tea connoisseurs from the world over in January at Coonoor.
